Ryan published a great stat this weekend in the Siena/UNI preview; only 19.3% of Siena’s total points come from 3-pointers.

Hasbrouck and Jackson were really the two guys we wanted to get out and defend from the three, we were there for 2 out of 4 of Jackson’s but credit him he knocked them down.
-Ben Jacobson (UNI Head Coach)

It’s interesting the Saints don’t usually take a lot of threes, but in recent games, they’ve been making an exception to that. Hasbrouck hit what must have been a 24 footer in the first half while CJ was draining his shots with a hand in his face.

What’s also interesting is Coach Jacobson didn’t mention getting out to cover Ronald Moore deep. He may not be the biggest three point threat, but when he’s out there all alone he’s efficient and automatic.

[CJ] is an amazing player. I think the keys for him [yesterday] were that he kept moving and he didn’t make any mistakes.
-Fran McCaffery

I think getting CJ moving has been overlooked– Usually when he gets pulled early, people tend to focus on how his missed assignment was not that bad, but there’s more to it. It would be a huge help down the stretch to know that he can come off the bench and provide that spark every time off the bench– (be this year’s Tay).
