Students: New Ticket Deal

In years past, for a student to be guarenteed access to a men’s basketball game they had to pay a $10 initial fee to join the Dog Pound. All other student tickets were served out on a first-come, first-serve basis. Starting this year, Siena is offering three new ticket options to its students;

Big 3 Ticket Package

Siena announced today that there will be a new ticket plan called “The Big 3″. The name honors Moore, Franklin and Ubiles, possibly the best class to ever enter Siena College.  The package includes three non-conference games;

Students Ready for Season

Although the 2010 season doesn’t officially start until November 13th, students around Siena campus are already feeling the college hoops itch. Rankings: Blue Ribbon

According to Raphielle Johnson of Collegehoopsnet.com, the Saints have been ranked 25th in Blue Ribbon’s Men’s College Basetball Preseason Top 25, presented by EA Sports. A press release from the Atlantic 10 today shows the Saints are ranked are tied at 25th with the Fighting Illini of Illinois.

Siena Saints On Facebook

Davis Martens Accepts Scholarship

In almost a heartbeat, Cory Magee’s spot was filled today as Davis Martens of Cologne, Germany accepted a scholarship for the 2009-10 season. Martens will be ineligible for the first 12 games of this season in accordance with NCAA regulations.
The 6′9″ Power Forward will celebrate his 20th birthday this Sunday.

Magee Ends Playing Career

Senior guard Cory Magee will no longer suit up for games as a Siena Saint. Due to complications from his concussion, he has been declared a medical exception for this season, allowing Siena to use one more scholarship.
