St. John’s (4-0) exploded with 46 points in the second half to defeat Siena (3-2) by a final of 77-68. Siena extended their lead to 47-39 at one point early in the second half, but struggled to score in the last 15 minutes of the contest. Once St. John’s switched to a zone defense, Siena just could not penetrate, and they begun forcing outside shots they couldn’t hit, and poor shooting selection overall.

Siena turned the ball over twice within the last two minutes in a two possession game, looking like they had all lost all confidence in their ability to hit the three point shot.

Ronald Moore left the game in the second half favoring his ankle, but would return later on.

Ryan Rossiter had a career high 24 points, 13 rebounds for the Saints, and DJ Kennedy dropped 23, 19 in the second half for the Red Storm.
