Iowa are better than expected - and so although I expected a couple of wins at least from those 3 games, that may not have been realistic. 2) The team - for whatever reason - hasn't finished these "up" games off. They have either led or been right there with these teams at halftime but then couldn't close the deal. Maybe it is fatigue from not having enough production from the bench. Maybe it's the poor FT shooting in crunch time. Maybe it's Ubiles' injury. Or maybe it's a team still trying to figure out how to replace the leadership of Hasbrouck and Duell. Fran's teams have been notoriously slow starters. As long as they can get on a roll as the MAAC season develops, they'll have a good shot at meeting expectations when the season is over.
