- Final - 84-62 Saints win. Siena took advantage of a poor shooting half from Rider to jump out to a large lead and they kept it without Rider ever putting a scare into the Times Union Center crowd. Big MAAC victory!
- 3:11 – It’s 82-62 Siena leads. The Times Union Center begins to empty out.
- 6:55 - Edwin Ubiles lobs an inbounds pass to Franklin more a monster alley-oop dunk. 79-56.
- 7:53 - Rider hits their second 3 of the night, which is quickly answered by a 3 from Jackson. 76-48.
- 11:21 - Timeout Rider after a big Ubliles three. 68-41 now. Siena is refusing to settle for poor shots and is remaining aggresive on both ends.
- 16:12 - OK, maybe it’s more the bad shooting of Rider than it is Siena’s defensive as Rider is currently 0-15 from 3-point range and shooting around 35% so far. 56-33 Siena up.
- Halftime - A great first half for Siena. Balanced scoring with Franklin scoring 12 and Rossiter putting up 10. Offensively, the fast pace has been playing right into Siena’s hands leading to quick baskets. Franklin and Rossiter are physically manhandling Rider’s front court as they drive to hoop. Rider has struggled shooting in almost every spot on the floor, but to Siena’s credit there haven’t been too many open opportunities for the Broncs. Now begins the period where we see if the Saints will be able to stay focused and hold onto their sizable lead until the end of the game.
- Halftime – Saints lead 46-30.
- 3:37 – A perfect wrap-around, behind the back pass from Rossiter to Griffen for a layup is immediately followed by a complete stuff by Franklin on the defensive end. 37-28 Siena leads.
- 5:52 – TV Timeout. 33-24 Saints up. Siena adds to their lead with Downey, Wignot, and Griffen in the game. Definitely a good sign.
- 8:51 - And 1 for Moore to make it 25-20 Siena. This has quickly turned into a fast paced, transition game with both teams pushing up the court as often as possible.
- 11:35 - TV Timeout. 19-18 Saints. Despite the score, Siena appears to be more in control. The set offensive plays are leading to open shots, while Rider is relying more on shots taken as the shot clock is winding down
- 14:45 - Wow! In one fluid motion, Franklin does a spin move straight into a power dunk right in a defender’s face. Now it’s 17-14 Siena up.
- 15:58 - TV Timeout. 8-6 Saints lead. Both teams seem to be warming up.
- 17:23 – Beautiful no look dish from Moore to Rossiter for an easy layup. 8-4 Siena.
- Tip off - Siena wins tip… Big game Saints fans!
