Seemingly missing from all this analysis is the fact that Purdue won the Big Ten regular season crown, following up on their Big Ten tourney crown the year before, and has a lot of NCAA tourney experience. i.e. they've been there and done that.

Given how Day One of this tournament has gone, the seeds seem to matter very little. Georgetown didn't end their season with a bad half against Minnesota, but somehow they still lost their 1st Round game. Villanova lost 5 of their last 7 games, but somehow they managed to win their 1st Round game.

This is a new season folks. Throw out the records. The teams that come ready to play will win. Some teams that do may lose a tight one, or in overtime.

I'm not going to try to predict this one - it will be decided on the basketball court.
