In case you’re looking for the most recent update on how Fran McCaffery is doing at Iowa, check out the offseason outlook at blackheartsgoldpants.com– Back to the Future – 2011-2012.
They do a good job pointing out that the Big Ten stands to lose a lot of talent this year. Though they got some bad news last night when Ohio State’s JD Sullinger announced he would return for his sophomore season.
Iowa was 4-11 in games decided by ten points or less. In 2005-06, Fran McCaffery’s first season at Siena, the Saints were 10-10 in those games– leading Siena to a 15-13 (10-8) record.
This season, Iowa finished 11-20 (4-14).
Frank was the man. I can remember the days seeing him walk down that sideline; so much energy in that stride & conviction of a coach. He was one to emulate. I hope he succeeds in the new role in years going forward & all the best to our Siena fans routing for another hopeful winning season. Yes, a Charlie pun on my 30th
