Meet The 2010 Siena Saints

South: #4 Purdue vs. #13 Siena

Who is Siena? Haven’t I seen this name the past two years in my bracket? This name is so familiar I should just pick them right? Yes, and yes.
It’s a great day in sports; it’s the day that you spend penciling in teams in your bracket, until [...]

Preview: Siena @ Iona

Siena (5-3, 0-0) will get its first conference test tonight when the Siena Saints square off against the Iona Gaels (4-3, 0-1) in New Rochelle, NY. Iona couldn’t quite catch up to St. Peter’s this past weekend, falling to the Peacocks 56-54 in their first league play contest. It was a close game the [...]

Students Ready for UAlbany

Who needs Duke/UNC when we have the capital region’s best sports rivalry game coming up this Saturday at the Times Union Center! In recent years this local ‘backyard brawl’ has been such a huge community event, and has brought some great memories to fans and students.
I love the UAlbany game. I remember going crazy [...]

One on One: From The Rumble Seat

Before Siena makes their visit to Atlanta, we’ll get a look at Georgia Tech, courtesy– From The Rumble Seat.
Siena Saints Blog: What happened in San Juan, when Georgia Tech lost to Dayton?
From The Rumble Seat: Against Dayton, we were up by 7 with 4:37 remaining. Inexperience and youth led to some costly turnovers down [...]

Schedule Bad For Students

Well, remember how people complain that not enough Siena students attend the games?  Well, this season’s schedule is not going to make it any easier for students to get to the Times Union Center.
The school has done a much better job over the past three seasons of offering transportation to the games. But, [...]

Saints In The News: Boring Day

These two stories will not rile up the blood. Siena came out with a tentative non-conference schedule and says they could play one more game but are not actively searching for it. Siena will play St. John’s in Philadelphia. I am surprised that Siena could not pair another Midwest game on that Northern Iowa trip. [...]
